A New Marathon Scenario is upon us!
.................just when you thought that the Marathon engine has been pushed aside for other 3D games, a new game within itself using the Marathon Infinity engine is in its final stages. Many have wondered where some of the talented authors of the Marathon community have been. The release of this project will answer many questions. A very tight knit group of 9 people from all points of the Marathon globe, have come together to compose one of the finest, if not one the best, Marathon projects to date.
This 36 level reunion with the Infinity engine, will bring you back toMarathon once again. For some, the time has come and gone for the Marathon. With the release of this new adventure, all 'thoners will want to come back to the game they all love. You will want to play this scenario if for no other reason then to find out how these things were created.
Over 25 Incredible solo levels, more than 16 network levels, new puzzles and tricks that push the engine to its limits, and a beautiful set of textures. This project has focused on the abilities of the Marathon engine and what it is capable of doing. You will see new doors, switches and scenery like never before. You will truly ask how in the world did they do that.

"Tempus Irae" is endurring the rugged Beta Testing process...final adjustments are being made.
If all goes as planned, we will be releasing it on Halloween.

Riven Review
We've just received our review copy of Riven: The Sequel to Myst, and we'll post a review of the game as soon as possible. After a few hours of play, I would have to say that Riven is looking like one of the best games since Myst, and seems worthy of all the anticipation. Riven's graphics are without equal, and the game seems to have a well-developed plot while maintaining the Myst-like aura of mystery.

Watch for our review of Riven: The Sequel to Myst in the coming weeks.

Problem with Mac version of Fallout?
The MGL received a disturbing e-mail regarding a potential problem with the Mac version of Fallout that we hope is not common. The reader tried to install it, but realized the installer didn't install the required System software that it said it would install! He tried the other installation options, including the full 570 MB install, but not all of the extensions were installed to allow the game to run.

Carmageddon 3Dfx patch for Mac?
David Bisset of Mac Requests indicated recently to the MGL that SCI was "looking into doing a 3Dfx patch for the Mac" version of Carmageddon. A PC version 3Dfx patch is already avaliable I believe. I'm going to contact SCi to see if I can get more news.
