Klingon Honor Guard Released
MINNEAPOLIS, December 21, 1998 - GT Interactive is launching the popular Star Trek® series as it releases MicroProse's STAR TREK: THE NEXT GENERATION® Klingon Honor Guard(tm) from its MacSoft subsidiary. Klingon Honor Guard for Macintosh is based on Paramount Television's hit syndicated series, Star Trek: The Next Generation.

"Using the Unreal engine, Klingon Honor Guard will be one of the best 3D shooters as it ships later this month almost simultaneously with the PC version which released in early December," said Cindy Swanson, marketing manager of MacSoft.

Klingon Honor Guard for Mac puts players on the edge of their seats with real-time action as they embark on a quest to save the Klingon Empire and the life of its leader, Gowron.

Klingon Honor Guard features seven unique 3D worlds, including the Klingon Bird of Prey, Rura Penthe Prison and Tong Vey Klingon City, and 19 fully interactive levels with space stations, starships and alien cities. Players can annihilate their enemies using the deadly Bat'leth blade or D'k Tahg knife, which are among ten powerful weapons, six of which were created especially for the game. There are also two modes of play: a plot-driven campaign and multi-player action.

Klingon Honor Guard for Mac includes the voices of Klingon actors from the series, including Tony Todd (Captain Kurn), Robert O'Reilly (Gowron), Barbara March (Lursa) and Gwyneth Walsh (B'Etor).

Klingon Honor Guard for Macintosh will ship later this month with a suggested retail price of $49.99.
