Future Cop for $17.95
A pretty good price for a new Mac 3D Action game by Electronic Arts, brought to you for just $17.95 from Cyberian Outpost. The game is on a hybrid Mac/PC CD so you get both versions (which also means the Mac version is coming out the same day as the PC version...not 6-24 months later). It should begin shipping within the next 3-4 days.

Clan Lord v51 Released
The latest update in DeltaTao's in development online RPG was released lthe other day. You can download just an update or a full version of the game from DT's Clan Lord's webpage.

If you're even semi interested in RPGs, I suggest you check out Clan Lord while it's free to test.

Unreal Mac 219 News

A bit of good news for everyone waiting for Unreal Mac 219, today I was finally able to track down a bug causing all sorts of havoc with the net code and have been able to get the game to play against 219 servers in some limited test cases. There is still some cleanup to do in networking (server beacons appear broken, and I haven't rolled the new packet formats into AppleTalk), as well as some other changes to the main game code (219 broke some things like our loading bars and spinning U status icon, as well as line skipping & pixel doubling).

But we're hoping if it all comes together with no major snags to have a new beta patch ready towards the end of the week.

Exile Trilogy CD

Tomb Raider 2 Update Posted
A patch for Tomb Raider II Mac is now available. The 1.0.1 patch fixes several minor bugs and can be downloaded from Aspyr Media's site by clicking here. Also available soon at Aspyr's site will be a FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) page that has answers to some common problems TR2 players are having.

The fixes in the 1.0.1 patch include:

• Better detection of RAVE hardware.
• Minor RAVE bugs fixed.
• Unconfigurable keys (notably 'O') now can be configured.
• Support for copying all of the Sounds from the CD to the hard disk for better performance and reliability.
• Better system detection code to choose the correct graphics mode to startup in.
• Several workarounds for known problems listed with the Update read me.
