Sierra Unveils a Mac Half-Life webpage
Although the title is a ways away from it's scheduled fall
release date, Sierra is whetting our appetites for it's Mac release
of the phenomenal 3D first-person shooter by unveiling an amazing
Mac-specific webpage full of info, and more importantly -
screenshots.

A Macintosh Nintendo 64 Emulator
Although emulation of a 93MHz SiliconGraphics processor on even
the high end personal computers would at first glance seem
impossible, amazingly enough, Gil Pedersen has accomplished that
feat. His TrueReality N64 emulator is the first of it's kind on the
Mac able to run commercial games. Speed is still an issue, even on
those 450MHz G3's. OpenGL is utilised for the intensive 3D graphics
most N64 games rely on. You can visit the

Westlake to port Sid Meier's Alpha

Westlake
was very pleased to be able to announce a new game theye have under
development: Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri, to be published by
Aspyr Media.
Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri is the latest strategy game from the legendary game designer Sid Meier. Mac gamers should recognize Meier's name as the original designer of such classics as Civilization and Railroad Tycoon.
Alpha Centauri is a turn based strategy game set in the distant future on an alien planet. Compete against other human factions for dominance of the planet, using terraforming, diplomacy, and military might.
Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri Mac is scheduled to be released towards the end of 1999.
