Since the last time I posted here it was Halloween related, it seems appropriate that I pick up again at the same time of year.
This time I have amassed a small collection of Halloween themed food products to share. Well, lets begin…
Eggo Seasons Pumpkin Spice
Granted, I haven’t tried these yet, I can’t imagine they taste very different from regular Eggos. I think last year or the year before I posted about Pumpkin Pie Pop Tarts, and those tasted amazing, so I have good track record with pumpkin flavored mass produced food products. Whipped Cream will be the topping for these breakfast treats.
Kellog’s Rice Crispies
These are a bit of a let down. The only thing special about them is the packaging. No specially colored cereal pieces, no toy in the box, just plain old Rice Crispies. Snap, Crackle, and Pop have dressed up for the holiday. In case their costumes had you fooled on who was who, they included their names now their hats.
Pillsbury Ready to Bake Pumpkin
Pillsbury brings out a variation of these sugar cookies for just about every holiday/season. I’ve seen Christmas trees, Easter bunnies, school buses, American flags, and more. You can find these in your grocer’s refrigerated section.
Toll House Halloween Creatures
Now I’m pretty loyal to the Pillsbury sugar cookies, so trying a different brand is a little adventurous for me. Enter the Toll House Halloween Creatures sugar cookies. Unlike the Pillsbury, these cookies are not just one design, they feature a variety of Halloween creatures. Do they taste as good as Pillsbury? I don’t know, I can only eat so many sugar cookies at a time.
Halloween Oreo
Ok, I don’t know why I get excited about these. They are just plain Oreos, except the filling is died orange and the cookies feature Halloween creatures like Witches and cats. The rest of the year I don’t really like Oreos, but give me some holiday themed Oreos and I will eat them all.
Well that’s all the Halloween food for now…
